Not far from the historical town centre of Grasse I found the Hôtel Elixir, where I was also allowed to try out their restaurant L'Elixir. Those who prefer a hotel as domicile on their travels are seldom in such a central location as the Elixir guest: the footpath to the old town of Grasse takes 20, 25 minutes and it is no further to the famous perfumers of the city.

To Cannes it's about 15 km, the beaches towards Théoule-sur Mer and even further to Saint-Raphaël in western direction are easy to find and the parking situation is good, except in high season and/or on weekends. Somewhere there is or always will be a place free.
In the opposite direction it goes into the mountains, as I often heard from the locals. It is the southern foothills of the Alps, the original Provençe, with its hills, cliffs, small villages with a great history and the poured and small canyons that the small and larger rivers have dug over the millennia.
The rooms in their various sizes and categories are ideal for holiday and business travellers. WLAN and Internet connection are available, the one who wants to be offline just has to switch off the mobile phone. The well-maintained garden, swimming, and spa area make this 4-Stars-House's comforts complete.
Provençal cuisine is generally a treat for the palate. To top this seems difficult to me as a confessing non cook. All the greater are astonishment, joy and reverence for the dishes and the cook with his team. A speciality this summer were barbecue dinners.
