Here the survival of the last bison of Europe is secured. And also the European wild horses find refuge here. The Monts d'Azur Biological Reserve, located in the heart of the Haut-Thorenc region, is an exceptional animal reserve, home to ancient and surprising animal and plant species: moose, Przewalski horses, bison and deer.

In a horse-drawn carriage we drove through the diversity of this wild area. One hour safari in search of buffalo or Przewalski horses. The many stations brought us closer to the animals, our guide shared her knowledge with us and helped us to understand the important role big herbivores play in the conservation of biodiversity.
