The Saltalpes trail from Prien am Chiemsee leads over 233 km through the Chiemgau and the Berchtesgadener Land to Obertraun at the Hallstätter See at the foot of the Dachstein mountains in Austria.

Around Bad Reichenhall there is a lot to discover and experience. On foot or by eBike you can find crystal clear mountain streams, alpine salt, mountain pines and much more. There is a wide range of wellness, health, spa and cultural offers, after all, we are in a spa resort.

Around Bad Reichenhall there is a lot to discover and experience. On foot or by eBike you can find crystal clear mountain streams, alpine salt, mountain pines and much more. The offers around Wellness, health, cure and culture are large, finally we are in a spa.

The Alpine salt makes the former dukedom town a leading spa with many health and relaxation guests. The brine is used here for a variety of medical and cosmetic applications. The Alte Saline, a mighty industrial plant and technical masterpiece, still brings the brine to the surface with its old pumps and supplies the local thermal baths through an underground pipeline network. This is not only a healthy affair but also inspires everyone who is (still) interested in Industry 1.0.

The neighbouring Mozart city of Salzburg, Lake Königssee and the salt journey in the Berchtesgaden salt mine are just a few minutes away from Bad Reichenhall.
