St. Front Cathedral with its ground plan of a Greek cross is the model for Sacré-Coeur in Paris.
St. Front dates back to the 12th century and underwent numerous changes until its present Roman-Byzantine architechture.
All the main attractions of Périgueux easily can be found during a stroll through the town centre. Especially in the small alleys there are interesting small shops and handicraft businesses.
